Wow that looks and sounds incredible and I can almost smell the soda bread. I'm ashamed to admit that I am a former baker with an Irish dad yet didn't know how to make soda bread 😮
2 ingredients. No scales. I knew it was simple but if I hadn’t witnessed it with my own eyes would have been sceptical. Also very economical. For the price of buying one of those farls* (edited for spelling) from a bakery, you could buy the ingredients and make around 10-20 of your own. Try it.
I made it today and it turned out beautiful. I used the supermarket flour I had in the cupboard but next time I'll try using the stuff we get from the local windmill...
I remember having a similar experience at the Folk Museum when I was a child in one of the houses that had a lady doing the same thing. To this day still the greatest soda I've tasted!
Beautiful ❤️

Today my lovely wife got some buttermilk whilst doing the weekly shop and I'm going to have a crack at making soda bread 🙂
Result!

Does soda bread go well with sardines or mackerel, or any fish for that matter?
